As Christians, we recognize that everything we have comes from God and
that which we give to furthering God's Work in the world today will only
serve to enrich our lives, our fellowship and our appreciation for God's
unconditional love. Noting that the tithe - 10% of gross income - is the
standard for giving in the Episcopal Church, we ask our congregation to
commit themselves to proportionate giving as a first step toward giving
a tithe.

Part of being a good steward is our careful planning for
the resources we have accumulated throughout our lives. Such planning
will enable you to leave your family better protected and will also enable
you to provide resources to continue the work of those church ministries
and church activities which were important to you during your lifetime.
Planned Giving provides a number of ways in which you can make gifts to
the church community and other charities while gaining various tax and
estate benefits. If you would like additional information concerning Wills,
Living Trusts, A Life Income Gift, A Gift of Life Insurance or a Gift
of Life Estate, please contact the church office and we will have a person
knowledgeable about these methods of Planned Giving contact you. It is
important for you to consult with your attorney or professional advisor
as well as they will know which method will provide you the greatest tax
and estate advantages.
