Lay Readers

Every Sunday we hear and read four Scripture passages as part of our worship. The lay readers lead us in this part of our worship, helping to make the Bible understandable and clear. They read a lesson from the Old Testament and one from the New Testament.  They lead us in the recitation of a Psalm.  The readers also lead us in the intercessions of the Prayers of the People, lifting our hearts and our concerns to God.

These volunteers provide this service to the congregation on a rotating basis as scheduled by Sandy Davies.  Sandy provides the volunteers with the readings for each Sunday in advance so they can familiarize themselves with the text, if they choose.  Additional volunteers are always welcome.
